A representative from PT Sentosa Laju Energy, Seno Aji, stated that this assistance is part of the company’s long-term commitment to supporting education in the region.

“We hope that this school bus will be beneficial for elementary and junior high school children in Batuah Village and that it will also motivate other companies to contribute positively to the community, not only in education but also in various other sectors,” Seno said in a statement on Tuesday (June 18, 2024).

Meanwhile, the Police Chief of Kukar, AKBP Heri Rusyaman, hopes that more companies will be inspired to help the community, not only in the aspect of education but in other areas as well.

“We hope there will be more initiatives like this. Previously, children traveled to school using just one Grand Max van filled with many children, which is very dangerous and certainly violates regulations,” he explained.

“However, PT Sentosa Laju Energy, PT Sentosa Laju Sejahtera, and CV Anggaraksa Adisarana are here to provide the best solutions to these problems, especially in the field of education. We will continue to support such positive efforts, and we hope other companies can follow the example set by this company,” he added.

Present at the school bus handover event was Drs. Herry Rusnadi, the sub-district head of Loa Janan, who shared his thoughts: “I am very happy and grateful that there are still companies that care about the community, especially in terms of education.”

The community here warmly welcomes this initiative with joy because it enables their children from Batuah Village to pursue their education smoothly.

He also expressed his deepest gratitude to the companies PT Sentosa Laju Energy, PT Sentosa Laju Sejahtera, and CV Anggaraksa Adisarana for helping the community by providing a school bus for the elementary and junior high school children of Batuah Village.

Meanwhile, the Head of Batuah Village, Abdul Rasyid, explained that the village administration has budgeted for the maintenance and operation of this school bus to ensure its sustainability.

“We will allocate village funds for the driver’s salary, fuel, and routine maintenance. This is important so that this transportation service can be well maintained and maximally utilized by the students,” said Abdul Rasyid.

The school bus is also equipped with various facilities for the comfort and safety of its passengers, including comfortable seats, air conditioning, and standard safety equipment. “Pickup and drop-off points have been established in the nine hamlets of Batuah Village to facilitate access for students,” he said.
